Ginger and Flaxseed Green Smoothie

Ready to Blend

Ingredients

1 cup water

1 banana

5 frozen strawberries

3-4 swiss chard leaves, washed and bottom of stems removed

Fresh ginger, peeled , piece approx the size of 1/2 your thumb

1 tbsp flaxseed, grind first if your blender isn’t powerful enough to grind them in the smoothie

Instructions

Put all the ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth.

Yield: Approx. 2 1/2 cups

Note: you can always you use fresh strawberries if they are in season where ever you live.  If you do you may want to add a few ice cubes if you want your smoothie cold.

This recipe can easily be doubled if you have a big blender and want to make more.  The quantity here is about one big glass.
