Raw Cocoa, Chia & Strawberry Smoothie

My second smoothie experiment with the raw cocoa nibs I bought. The result? A second incredibly tasty beverage that is nutritious, sweet, and filling all at the same time.

Also the second time I make my own almond milk in the past 2 weeks. I think I might have to make a habit of this. It is just so easy and so good. How can I not? I suggest you give it a try. How to make almond video coming soon.

If you don't have all the ingredients to make this smoothie on hand I suggest you go buy them as soon as possible. They are all staples that I usually have on hand. 

Chia seeds, raw cocoa, almond milk (or other non-dairy milk), frozen strawberries, bananas, dates. Nothing crazy. Just pure goodness. Get with it if your not already hip to the jive. You know what I mean?

Health is happiness right? Right.

Raw Cocoa, Chia & Strawberry Smoothie

1 banana
1/2 cup strawberries (approx. 5-6) -I used frozen
1/4 cup raw cocoa nibs
1 tablespoon chia seeds
2 cups almond milk (or other non-dairy milk) – homemade if you can
1 pitted date

Combine all the ingredients in an upright blender and blend until smooth. Serve in a glass with a few more cocoa nibs sprinkled on top if you like a little crunch.
