This is a great smoothie when you are hungry and craving a sweet treat.  Just because you are craving something sweet doesn’t mean that you have to turn to something unhealthy.

Hemp seeds are a complete protein as well as a source of healthy essential fats. Raw Cacao nibs are one of the worlds best sources of antioxidants.

What this means is that not only is this smoothie a delicious treat, it is good for you.

Ingredients like raw shelled hemp seeds, raw cacao nibs, agave nectar, almond butter and almond milk are not ingredients most people have on hand in their kitchen pantry.  They are all easy enough to find at a supermarket with a good organic section or at any health food store.

I encourage you to make the trip to stock your kitchen pantry with these amazing whole foods, and give them a try.

Raw Cacao, Almond Butter, Hemp Seed Smoothie

1 cup almond milk
1/8 cup raw cacao nibs
3 tbsp almond butter (raw if you want)
1 tbsp agave nectar
2 tbsp hemp seeds

Combine all the ingredients together in a blender and blend until smooth.
