I discovered this delicious and healthful drink by reading the incredible book called Born to Run by Christopher McDougall. This is my version of the chia drink that the Tarahumara tribe would drink to keep them energized during their 50 mile+ runs. I say my version because I am not quite sure exactly how they prepared it.
I think it will be good enough to keep you going during your everyday life.
Just to mention a few of the positive things about chia seeds. A great plant based source of protein, omega 3s, fibre, and antioxidants. All in one little seed.
Mix it with some water, lemon or lime juice, and natural sweetener and you have yourself one SUPER drink.
